Puddle and the sailboat

by Anani Schauermann

Now you already know Puddle. One day, Puddle was falling down as he always did, when he saw there was water like him under him and there was a lot of it too. Puddle never knew there was so much water like him. He saw a big piece of nice wood with a white piece of cloth on a wooden post. Then he felt the piece of wood touch his slender body. He was amazed he was on a sailboat for the first time in his life.

  1. It was fun to read about Puddle! I like how out of all that water he landed on a sailboat. Good ending!

  2. Puddle landed on wooden boat! We sailors call those wooden boats, "classic" because now most boats are made of fiberglass--a kind of hard plastic mixed with strong fibers. Puddle is lucky though, because those old wooden boats are cool.

Nice work using helping words--such as nice, white, wooden, and slender---to help the readers see the pictures of the story more clearly! Good job!
