Spring

by Anani Schauermann

Time now is spring,
Opening a new year,
Birds beginning to sing,
Singing happily spring is here.

Now it's time for summer,
Hot the sun is betting,
Lakes are all the funner,
Children stop reading.

Up, Up, Up! or Down, Down, Down!

by Jeffrey Schauermann

Flying, flying, flying, high,
     O're the mountainous streams,
O're the grassy plains,
     O're the smoke-puffing trains.

 Flying, flying, flying, low,
      Grazing tops of spindly trees,
Sighting land good for these,
      Touching down, light as fleas.

The Wind Blew Over...

by Anani Schauermann

The wind blew over the prairie,
Awaking bushes and tree,
Which leaves and sticks they carried,
Whistling down to there knees.

The wind blew over the sea,
Making large the waves,
As far and large as they can be,
As if in delirious raves.

Water,
Cold,blue,
Flowing, gargling, down,

Sir Bottle

by Jeffrey Schauermann

That chopper of deadly planes,
Went down in horrid flames,
Dumping Sir Bottle,
And fall did he dawdle,
And splashed to the middle of Thames.

White,
Sparkles bright,
Falling, softly, slowly,
Powdery cold, can't see,
Settling, quickly, harshly,
Dark night,
Black.

Jeremy

Jeremy always yells
Every half-hour,
Running through
Eaton,
Murmuring something funny, or
Yelling 'cause he lost his doggie.

Cowboys-n-Miners

by Jeffrey Schauermann

When cowboys roamed,
     O'er the grassy Plains,
When miners dug,
     To find their wealthy gains.

The cowboy went to catch,
     Their Fat and plump herd,
Miners began to leave,
     Either rich or poor.
