Dusty, Dusty, Dust

by Jeffrey Schauermann

Dusty, Dusty, Dust,
     Floating everywhere,
floating in our noses,
     To make itself a lair.

Dusty, Dusty, Dust,
     Landing everyplace,
landing in our kitchen,
     Landing thick as lace.

Dusty, Dusty, Dust,
     Growing every second,
We all get suffocated,
     Until it is reckoned

Elena Gets a Job

by Anani Schauermann

Swish, swish, went Elena's paint brush. Tree after tree went on the canvas.  "There, all the trees are done, next are the children," Elena said to herself.  Just then a farmer from the neighboring town (which is ten miles away) rode down the steep, rocky trail, "Good day madam," he said. "Do you happen to know a young woman by the name of Elena Shine?""I happen to be her.'' "Well, the school of Sandville would like to offer the job of being the art teacher because some of the children have requested it,"said the farmer " I will think about it," said Elena.

Fun

by Anani Schauermann

Swish! bang! "Whats that!" said  Harry, running downstairs,  almost bumping into Lizzy who was also going  to the noise.  They ran as fast  as they were allowed to go in the house. They where heading for the living  room right when Emily came out laughing so hard she couldn't  stop. "Whats so funny?" asked Lizzy. Emily, trying to stop laughing, said in quite a funny voice '' I was just going ice skating in the house!" "And how exactly do you that?" said Harry, who was very confused , "Well you just put on socks and then run and slide!" "Man, how much does it cost?" said Lizzy. "It is free!''said Emily.

For a Penny

by Anani Schauermann

There was an old dog for a penny,
He had a lame leg and a kenny,
He had a new hat,
With an old bat,
And in his tall tale he is Denny.

Dogs do Moan

by Jeffrey Schauermann

While doggy came running from home,
She met Mr. Pilly alone,
She cried in alarm,
And ran for the barn,
The poor old doggy did moan.

Jimmy Longjohn

By Jeffrey Schauermann

Jimmy Longjohn,
  Went to bed,
Without any porridge,
  But thoughts in his head.

Thoughts of the day,
  When man he may be,
Leading his wife,
  And family of three.

Jim

by Anani Schauermann

But one day their where three people.  The animals did not know what to do.  Nando thought that they where checking on the house while the Bazes where gone. Polly and Jim thought that the people where stealing from the Bazes.  The next night after the people left, Polly found one of the windows open, so she jumped in.  In the house there was only furniture.  Because Polly did't know what to think, she went to talk to Jim and Nando.

Travel

By Jeffrey Schauermann

Here we go in the motor home,
it is so very hot  inside,
Or in the car we go very far,
To get the milk, it's a long ride.

Back to our home it's so far,
Then all at once, the belt is gone!
     Daddy's on the motorcycle,
To get a belt, it takes so long.

Christmas

by Anani Schauermann

"Come! Hannah," said Seth, jumping up and down. "The presents have finally come!" He finished saying this when Hannah arrived, still panting for breath.  "There is one for me and one for you and Ma, Pa, Carrie, and Jack!"

"Why, let me see mine; I want to open it right now!" said Hannah.  "Ma said we have to wait till Christmas," said Seth.  Hannah did't want to wait a long time, so she went to ask her mom how long it was till Christmas.  Her mom was in the house knitting by the fire.

"When is Christmas?", asked Hannah. "In one week," said Ma.

Now there was a farm called Baze Farm. There lived at that farm a bright pink pig named Jim. Jim had two friends, Poly the pond frog and Nando the colt. Nando was being trained to be a horse. The owner of  the farm was Mr. Baze. Thanksgiving was coming up and Jim was the only pig left.

Ray Tay seven

by Anani Schauermann

Now in the nest the Ray Tay family was feeling left out in the spring singing but they did like the races because the Ray Tay bird can fly 2000 miles - per - hour.  The Ray Tay family had won 102 gold medals and entered in 102 races.  That means if you look at it closely you will see that they won every race they attended.

Ray Tay eight

by Anani Schauermann

Now a year had passed and it was very close to the Ray Tay kid's birthday, and in the Ray Tay it is a big, big, big party. All the birds in the forest where invited to the party. One bird could not go because he and his family where moving out of the Ray Tay rain forest.

How Are You, M?

by Jeffrey Schauermann

How are you, M,
All frozen?
Winter months long,
Then spring,
Looses you from,
This icy bondage,
For your song.

Attitude is Everything

by Jeffrey Schauermann

Attitude is everything,

   Happiness will get you done,
But grumpiness? No sir-ee!
   Happiness is also fun.

But when you sure are grumpy,

   It'll be very, very bad,
And if you don't get happy,
   You get very, very mad.

What Do You See, B?

by Jeffrey Schauermann

Looking round this world
Peering at your family
Many times a day
Seeing many
Wonderful sights
To gasp and gaze

Ray Tay six

by Anani Schauermann

When he got to the nest he examined it as good as he could without scaring the birds.  Now at that time of year it is very pretty because the trees were blooming and the grass was growing.  All the trees they saw were all a yellow green.  The other birds sang,  but the Ray Tay kind did not make a lot of noise.  They only chirp when taking.

Ray Tay five

by Anani Schauermann

Now the thing in the water was a snorkeler.  He had seen the birds coming and went to the surface to see the real birds because it is hard to see under water  When he saw that he scared the them he went back under water.  The man followed the birds to see where they went.  He went so fast in getting there that he had done it before the other birds got there.

The Blue Bird

by Anani Schauermann

One day Katy was on a hill with her family having a picnic when a blue bird landed on some of the cake Katy's mom made.  "Shoo!"said mom.  Katy wanted to catch the bird so she got up and ran after it.  Finally she caught the bird.  She carried the bird back to the picnic ground.  When they got home Katy put the bird in bird cage.

Ray Tay two

by Anani Schauermann

All of the kids in the family where one year old.  Their mom had laid thirteen eggs all at once.  There are too many names so I will only tell you the mom and dad's names.  The mom's name was Lilly and the dad's name was Neffrey.   The most interesting part about the Ray Tay birds is that the eggs are rainbow colored.

Ray Tay Three

by Anani Schauermann

One day four of the girls went out to the river to get some water for the whole family.  When they got there it was all normal but when they put the bucket in the water something stuck it's head out of the water and then put it down.  The four girls dropped the bucket and flew away.

Ray Tay Four

When they got home they went to the kitchen where their mom was cooking some fish for dinner.  When their mom saw that the girls did not have the bucket, she asked them where it was.  The girls told her all about the thing in the water.  When she heard it all she sent five of the boys to go and see what it was.  She sent the oldest and the bravest.  When they came back they said that the bucket was not there.

Living Rain

by Jeffrey Schauermann

Drip, drip, drop, drop, rain,
   Making the plants grow,
Now they can be green!
   Well are they bare? No!

But, when the sun comes,
   Photosynthesis,
Is the energy,
   When they grow, it's this.

Ants!

by Jeffrey Schauermann

   Creeping up the wall,
Hiding in the 'sill,
   Tis the perfect place,
But against our will.

   When we found them there,
How do they get in?
   Or do they live there?
Either way we'll win.

Ray Tay One

by Anani Schauermann

This is a story about a family that lived in the Ray Tay rain forest.  Why the Ray Tay rain forest is called that is because there are a lot of Ray Tay birds.  The Ray Tay bird is a bird that has really pretty wings.  Now the family that lived in the Ray Tay rain forest were Ray Tay birds.  In the family were six boys and seven girls.  They lived in a cozy nest.  They were all the same age.

Sheep are quite a sight,
Heavy with wool white,
Eating grass the summer long,
Then the farmer gets his prongs,
And shaves the sheep pink,
When he's done he will wink.
