The Wind is Strong

By Anani Schauermann

The wind is strong,
But I am brave,
As a sharp prong,
In a dark cave,
The wind is strong.

Hurricane

by Jeffrey Schauermann

The wind is howling,
     Hurricane prowling
The sirens are sounding,
     Hurricane is pounding,
The houses are crashing,
     Hurricane is thrashing,
Now the hurricane is gone,
And the people sing a song.

The Hungry Tree

by Jeffrey Schauermann

There once was a hungry tree. The tree would eat anything, but there was a problem. You see, there was nothing to eat! He was in the middle of a field. Well, one day, a little boy put a rope on one of his boughs and when the boy left he ate up the rope. Then a deer came and left its antlers. He also ate a chain, treehouse, pulley, and a swing.

The End

Kane Part 2

Anani Schauermann

When Kane was done eating lunch she ran back upstairs.  when she got there, she ran to the drawer.  She got out the present she had been wrapping earlier.  Soon she was done wrapping the present for her mom.  Kane ran downstairs and put the present underneath the Christmas tree.  There were a bunch of other presents under the tree.

At dinner that night Kane was wondering what she would get in her stocking.  She was wondering what kind of presents she would get.  That night Kane snuck out of her bed and grabbed some paper to make some cards.  Kane made one for her mom, dad, brother and her baby brother.  She put a heart on each of the cards.

Jim Part 2

by Jeffrey Schauermann

It has now been a month since Jim finished school and it was about time for school to start again. Jim had moved up a grade and was going to a different room. Most all the kids were new to him though some of them were from his old class. When school began Jim felt a little bit lonely because he didn't know any of the kids, and his teacher was strange to him. Pretty soon, Jim thought, I will come to like my teacher and the other kids in this class, and that is what happened.

Kane Part 1

By Anani Schauermann

One winter day Kane was in the forest picking up acorns for an acorn pie.  When she got home her mom was waiting for her in the kitchen.  Kane's mom said the pie was for Christmas.  That night Kane was wondering what her mom was doing downstairs because it smelled like cookies.

Now it was the day before Christmas and Kane was upstairs wrapping a present for her mom."Kane" said her mom, "I would like you to eat with us".  So Kane quickly hid the present in her drawer and ran downstairs to the table.  When she got there her mom was there.  She asked her mom where the rest of the family was.  Her mom said they were in the garage.

Chickens

by Jeffrey Schauermann

Chickens are pecking,
And bugs are fleeting.
Some bugs fly away,
Others run away.

They search for one hour,
And they find nothing sour,
What they find is blunt,
They give up the hunt.
