Cloudy Bird

by Jeffrey Schauermann

Once upon a time there lived a bird. The bird's name was Cloudy. Cloudy was an orphan because he had just learned how to fly when his mother and father died in a forest fire. Ever since then he had tried to be a cloud. He always had some whip cream. When  he was soaring at the level of the clouds then he would cover himself with whip cream. All the other forest animals thought it was so funny. Then one day he had an idea. Instead of flying he would sit on a cloud. This time instead of laughing they were surprised and Cloudy's wish came true.

Puddle's Adventure

by Anani Schauermann

Once upon a time there lived in a cloud a raindrop. The raindrop's name was Puddle. He would fall, fall, fall, until he hit the ground. There he would float back up and sometimes he came in snow. One day he fell into a well and just then a person came to the well and put Puddle in her water bucket and drank Puddle.

The Trees

by Anani Schauermann

The trees are big,
   And one has a wig,
It's green as green can be,
   And I am happy,
Because I've got trees.

At the Beach

by Jeffrey Schauermann

I go to the beach,
And get bit by a leech,
The beach is fun,
   I'll have a cinnamon bun.

The sand is hot,
   My mom will watch,
As we play, play,
   All through the day.

In the Forest

by Jeffrey Schauermann

The ivy is dying,
   The floor is growing,
The squirrels run on tiptoes,
   The boy is mowing.

Straw is spread,
   watch for tread,
Amongst the trees,
   Is the squirrels bread.

The water downstream,
   The deer comes to drink,
Birds float above,
The farmer has his hog drink.

In the House

by Anani Schauermann

I would like tell you about our house. I will start at the back of the house. There are three rooms and a master bath and a kid bath. Then we will move on up the hallway. There is a kitchen and a living room and if you go on you will see the family room and the washing room.
